The Seattle Elks and Washington State Elks Association have long supported Seattle Children's Hospital, dating all the way back to 1924. Our members are invited to join the hospital's first-ever virtual CELLEBRATION on Sept. 12, as well as support Seattle Children's in other ways:
Please save the date for Seattle Children's first-ever virtual CELLEBRATION on Sept. 12, from 5 to 6 p.m. PST. While the global pandemic might not allow us to be together, it can’t stop us from uniting in our quest for a cure for childhood cancer! This year's event will harness the power of supporters, donors, partners and friends from around the world to celebrate and accelerate the science of immunotherapy.
Caps for a Cure
When you stop by your local Washington Safeway or Albertsons store and pick up a new, official NFL-branded Seahawks cap for $10, 100% of proceeds will benefit cancer immunotherapy research at Seattle Children’s. But don’t wait; only a limited quantity of caps are available. Go Hawks!
Be a Part of the Cure
Local businesses and fundraisers have joined forces with us to find a cure for childhood cancer. From window washing to a traveling scone wagon, there’s something for everyone!
If you have an IRA you aren’t using for living expenses, you can support Seattle Children’s and get great tax benefits. If you are over the age of 70 1/2, you may transfer up to $100,000 directly from an IRA to a charity without paying federal tax. You do not have to recognize the transfer as taxable income and it counts toward any required minimum distribution.
